29 year old Land Girl Rosalind Cox stands on the back of a truck and uses a 9 inch hook to pass hay bales down from the truck to the waiting hands of a farm hand below. The bales, according to the original caption, weigh 80 pounds. The bales are pulled down the plank of wood acting as a ramp, and are stacked by the farmhand. They are working on Mr Tupper's farm, Bignor, West Sussex.

The image was catalogued by the IWM as created for the Ministry of Information, which was dissolved in 1946.
